Hey Loopers, take a journey with me in this year’s ‘Desert Dream’ Rock Girl calendar as our tribute to the bands we worship are honored every month.
This year, my Rock Girl calendar is all about ROCK! Each month I feature a band that we love in what I’m wearing. From Zeppelin to Metallica, each bikini or tank was hunted down as a special tribute. A lot of them were custom made out of old broken down band tour shirts that were given new life by bikini maker Betty Bangs. She also custom made the cover shot bikini from one of our famous black Loop shirts.
Our location was part of an idea to escape. Like the music we love, the beautiful landscapes help transport body and mind away from the stress of everyday life. We chose Nevada, and stayed around an area called Eldarado Canyon. From the Colorado river where you’ll see our Rush tour shirt, to the natural spring where our Led Zepplin bikini felt at home, to an ancient dried up lake bed featured on the cover, to an old ghost town with old cars, barns, and bikes that have been used as a filming location for feature films like 3000 Miles to Graceland. Take a look at the video below to see some of the cool locations and behind the scenes footage of my photo shoots!
